The Community Yoga, Inc., formerly known as “FREE College Park Community YOGA,” was founded on the belief that collective wellness creates a collective Community. The strength of a Community should be based on the wellness of its residents. We believe the principals of yoga, which are Spiritual, Mind and Body, facilitate the wellness of the Human Body.
The Community Yoga, Inc. started its first class on September 23, 2017, with an attendance of 16 College Park residents. The second class was held on September 30, 2017, with 26 College Park Residents in attendance. We have now also added a second class for individuals with limited range of motion and health restrictions, since we recognize a need for specialized accommodations.
So far we have two classes offered on Saturdays, Beginners Yoga Class from 8:30 to 9:30 A.M., and Gentle Yoga Class from 9:45 to 10:45 A.M. Our certified instructors (rotating) are committed to assisting us in teaching both classes. Currently, we have over 45 College Park residents committed to attending the classes and are in need of more instructors.
